Router

28 March 2007

A router in technical terms is a device that connects to one more computers
to send data. You may want to view a Tech FAQ to learn how to set these connections up, as they can sometimes be somewhat tricky. These routers are commonly used in wireless internet- and in some applications that replace the need for SPDIF. There are many types of routers, with Linksys being one of the most popular brands. They include their own Tech FAQ in the manuals, in case you need extra help setting your own router up. These routers are different from switches, since switches only make LAN connections, not
networking connections.
