Getting Listed in a Directory of Directories
9 February 2007Some time ago, my friend Seth started a directory of directories which he plans to promote via the major search engines. He hired a top quality SEO team to build up some serious backlinks and one month after, I’ve noticed that his directory of directories is now ranked in the top 5 on most search engines. Very impressive. Seth told me that his success was not really all due to SEO but also because deep link directories are very popular for all webmasters. He revealed that most of the seaches for deep linking directories always end up on either his directories blog or his directory of directories. A smart ploy in my opinion, because by writing about other directories and including them into your overall directory of directories, you are putting in a lot of keywords that tend to show up on the search engine rankings. I might be starting a similar project with Seth’s help this summer because I’ve always had a great passion for directories and how they can generate stable income for most users.
